The area of the White Towns is located between the provinces of Cadiz and the province of Malaga and it is so called for the habit of the inhabitants to paint the houses in white and to color the beautiful courtyards with flowers.
The vision of these white houses which seem to climb the surrounding mountains is very suggestive.
The circuit runs through the Sierra de Cádiz, an area declared a Biosphere Reserve which includes the Natural Park of the Sierra de Grazalema and the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales, the biggest oak trees in Spain.
In the streets of its villages it is possible to imagine what could be the daily life of the Al Andalus era. The economy of this area is linked to olive growing and craft of leather goods production.
